Unisex mid-rise, 5 pocket slim leg jeans by I and Me. Bleach wash, 13 oz Japanese selvedge denim woven on original shuttle looms. The 3 x 1 denim twill is specialized and unique. The denim warp yarn is made by one of the most famous spinners in Japan, Taishobo, established in 1918. The cotton yarn is made in Juarez, Mexico and is blended with waste cottons to make a beautiful natural slub. The fabric is then dyed by the oldest dyeing mill in history, Sakamoto Denim. Sakamoto has championed the old Indigo Hank Dyeing method for over 120 years. The unique ‘rusted blue’ colour is called ‘Aisabi’ which originates from the Edo Period, Japan (1603 – 1868).

Selvedge denim, also known as selvage, originates from the term ‘self-edge.’ Traditionally, selvedge denim would be woven on narrow-width shuttle loom, producing a unique clean edge. They will not fray, ravel, or curl. This process enhances the strength and premium quality of the fabric.
