The Drift Magazine Issue 13 | Summer 2024

The Drift is a magazine of culture and politics. Founded in June 2020, The Drift aims to introduce new work and new ideas by young writers who haven't yet been absorbed into the media hive mind and don't feel hemmed in by the boundaries of the existing discourse. Published three times a year, their issues feature longform essays and cultural criticism, short fiction, poetry, interviews, dispatches, and extremely abbreviated reviews.

Featuring essays on starting DBT, stopping Cop City, and the militarized, financialized university; an interview with Rachel Kushner; Dispatches on borders, real and imagined; fiction by Diana Kole, Hannah Kingsley-Ma, and Gideon Jacobs; poetry by Jen Frantz, Michael Bazzett, Ashley D. Escobar, and Talin Tahajian; plus extremely abbreviated reviews, an editors’ note, and more.
